The weeping birch is a medium-sized, fast-growing tree that reaches a height of approximately 15–20 m and a width of approximately 6–10 m. The straight trunk is continuous all the way to the crown. The main branches rise at an angle, but they are bent downward at the tips by the weight of the trailing, drooping twigs.
