Salix babylonica

The ‘true’ weeping willow reaches a height of 10–12 m and a width of 8–10 m, initially forming an oval crown with arched, outward-reaching branches. As the tree ages, the twigs hang down further and further, creating the characteristic weeping form. Unlike Salix alba ‘Tristis’, however, the young shoots are green.
