Acer palmatum 'Atropurpureum'

A medium-sized, slow-growing, well-branched shrub or small tree that reaches up to 8 m in height in its native East Asia, and grows to 3–5 m tall and 4–6 m wide in our region. Due to its broad, bushy, loosely upright growth habit and arching, overhanging branches, its appearance is similar to that of Acer palmatum.
