Aronia prunifolia 'Viking'

Grows as a small shrub with stiff, upright basal shoots, reaching a height of approx. 1–2 m and a width of 2–2.5 m. Often becomes wider than it is tall with age. The small, spherical apple-like fruits, which are initially red and later become glossy deep black, are produced in large numbers. The flesh is deep burgundy red.
